New 2004 Trail Ryder CT Reproduction

So you are considering purchasing a Honda Trail 70? However, you have noticed that in order to purchase one in reasonably good shape, it will cost you thousands of dollars. You are not a collector, and wish to have one for utility, something to ride around the trails, track or RV Park on while sharing your memories with your children or grandchildren. Too bad they still don't make these things. This is the thinking that led me to invest over a million dollars in inventory. Not everybody wants a high-tech crotch rocket or the price tag that comes with today's motor-cross or dirt-bikes.

Are these made by Honda?

No, the parts are made by various Chinese manufacturers and assembled in factories in mainland China.


When we were kids my folks said that motorcycles and other goods that were made in Japan were "junk". As time can only tell these so called junk bikes are now classics and worth quite a lot of money. We use the same technology with only a couple of modern improvements. Lifan manufactures our power plants, an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer. So don't be surprised when these are still around in 35 years.

Is R n R's Trail Ryder the same as other reproductions found on the web?

We can't speak for anyone else but I know that we provide our customers with more information and the best customer service. All our parts diagrams are available online or digitally transferred. Please note that my transmissions are unicycle. This means that they shift down from neutral to first, second, third, fourth and then STOP. Some bikes are being sold that have rotary shifting. This means that after you shift down into fourth, if you forget what gear you are in and shift down it goes into neutral, shift down again and your back in first at 35mph. Avoid these transmissions.

Are parts readily available for the Trail Ryder?

We will stock and supply all parts for the frame, and many for the engine. Most all engine parts are available from your local Honda dealer. Our prices are inexpensive compared to the brick and mortar dealers. As with any machine, mechanical problems will arise. It is our intention to offer replacement engines at prices too low to publish to any registered customer that has major engine problems. It is our logic that if we can offer an inexpensive enough, complete engine, exchanged, to any registered customer they won't want to mess with the $85 a hour labor plus parts to fix a broken ring or similar problem. Just replace the entire engine.

Doses the Trail Ryder come with a warranty?

Yes, a six month warranty on manufacturer's defects -- parts only, not labor. Parts must be returned postage prepaid.

Is the Trail Ryder street legal?

The Trail Ryder is sold for off-road use only. However, it does have a speedometer calibrated in MPH and safety lighting. We supply an invoice and Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO). This is a legal document that is accepted by most States' Departments of Licensing for a title. Please inquire with your state before purchasing. You will need to bolt on the front fender, wheel and seat. Check the oil, tighten all bolts, gas it up
